Boko Haram Attack Gamboru; Residents + Nigerian Soldiers Flee To Cameroun
Report says a band of Boko Haram insurgents stormed and attacked Gamboru, a border town in Borno state about 5pm today Monday 5th of May. Although lorry drivers who had sighted them as they were approaching the town called to warn residents but the insurgents succeeded in laying siege on the town.
Residents also confirmed that Gamboru residents ran into Cameroun and are still there as at press time. The resident pointed out that Nigerian soldiers also fled to Cameroun with them.
